“There’s something special about growing flowers to make art. It connects me to the process of designing my wreaths in a way that gives me more respect and curiosity for the materials used and the process itself.”

Allison Davis grew up in the Skagit Valley and has always had a facination with nature and visual arts. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drawing and Painting from the University of Washington and if currently furthering her education at Skagit Valley College in ceramics and the school of business.

Her goal in starting Festoon is to combine her love for art and the natural world, while producing a product from the ground up that fosters a transparent supply chain and keeps the environment in mind. Each wreath is compostable when its lifetime is over and the willow form can be recycled as a base for future projects, inspiring its’ owner to make their own artistic creations. Allison strives to keep her business’ environmental footprint small by growing the flowers and willows herself or buying locally from flower farmers on Camano Island and the neighboring Skagit Valley.

“The flowers are carefully dried and will last a very long time. You can tell how unique each piece is and that makes every wreath created with care and love.”
